Trainees who would like to file an appeal against a decision regarding their academic results in the program or module should discuss the matter with their instructor. If a satisfactory resolution is unattainable, trainees may file an appeal to the Continuing Education Program Manager. If the resultant solution is unsatisfactory, trainees may escalate the matter to the Provost. Decisions made by the Provost are final. Procedures for Academic Grievance and Appeal Following are the proper procedures for resolving academic grievances and appeals: 1. For a start, the trainee shall speak with the instructor involved. If unresolved, he/she may complete the Academic Grievance and Appeal Form and submit it to the Continuing Education Program Manager. 2. The trainee should provide a clear and concise statement of the grievance/appeal, including the discussion between the trainee and the instructor. 3. Program Manager shall schedule a meeting to discuss with the trainee within 5 working days after receiving the form. 4. If the trainee is not satisfied after seeking consultation at the Continuing Education Program Manager's level, he/she may appeal in writing to the Provost to seek a resolution within 5 working days after the Program Manager has completed the consideration of the grievance.

Trainees must explain, in writing, any procedural error or omission that impacted their academic performance during the course such as substantiated bias or material deviation from established procedures. He/she should also explain why the case could not be resolved with the instructor.
